Ben Atherton, assistant curator at the Owensboro Museum of Science & History, places a WWI uniform in a display case while working to install the “World War I and America” exhibit at the museum. The temporary exhibit opens April 1 and runs through November 11 on the first floor of the museum and is sponsored by a grant received from the Library of America in partnership with the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Patrons at the library will be able to walk through a WWI trench and learn what life was like for soldiers and how Owensboro helped with the war effort.
