Wreck

Officials with the Owensboro police and fire departments work the scene of a vehicle accident Friday afternoon at the Days Inn at 3720 New Hartford Road. Officer Andrew Boggess, public information officer for OPD, said the driver was exiting the U.S. 60 ramp onto New Hartford Road when she crossed U.S. 60, struck the median and entered the hotel parking lot. Boggess said the driver then struck an unoccupied parked vehicle, pushing her vehicle and parked vehicle into the hotel. The driver was taken to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with apparent minor injuries. The cause of the wreck is still under investigation.
